Nor’easter

Thursday, March 8th, 2018
Snow day, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 08 March 2017.

Snow day.

Snowed all night, snowed all day. Got about ten or twelve wet inches of it—with drifts, ’cause the wind blew, too. I didn’t expect to have any birds on my list, but I sure enough did.

American Robin, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 08 March 2018.

American Robin.

No grouse, though.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
